Sure, affiliate marketing is probably the most lucrative
form of employment when it comes to the internet. Everyday,
there’s a new superstar in the industry, all claiming that
they have made a lot of money using so-and-so’s method to
success. More often than not, it’s just information just
rehashed over and over. Unfortunately, most of the gurus
are too busy making money to actually compile a course.
While they are most certainly out there, rarely do they have courses that do not sell out in
mere minutes. Regardless, most of their success revolves around building backlinks. A backlink
is extremely important to any internet marketing business, as a person wants everyone to be
talking about their website.
There are a million different ways for a person to actually generate a backlink. Directory
Submissions, Social Media, and even submitting a site to DMOZ is still very effective. For
the article marketer, they certainly have a leg up on the competition. This is where they
should get as much knowledge as they can about the article directories, namely, all of the
ones with the highest PR. There are quite a few directory submission sites and they all come
with varying degrees concerning ease-of-approval. For others, it can be a little bit difficult,
but there are writers that are readily available for work, as they will need to be contacted
at some point. Obtaining high PR links is genuinely the name of the game, as search
engines are consistently crawling; looking for sites in the niche with authoritative links.
With there being various ways for a person to obtain links, it can make the pursuit a bit
more fun. There’s no one way to build backlinks, it’s important for a person to keep them
random, although they should be in the same niche. One of the most common ways to have high
authority links would be to simply ask the webmaster if something can be worked out. Chances
are, they’ll be looking for something in return, as well. More often than not, the webmaster
will need something for their site as well, such as content or something else that an
affiliate may be able to offer. It’s all about being a little bit ingenious and showcasing
skills to prospective webmasters, and it doesn’t hurt to flatter some people in a related
industry, as well.
In summation, building backlinks are extremely important for anyone who wants to be
successful in affiliate marketing. The person with more backlinks generally wins, but of
course, a backlink can only do so much. Focus on the sales copy; if a potential customer
clicks on the link and doesn’t like what they see – they’ll leave as quickly as they came.
